5. Beta and Waitlist Communications

If you join a ReelLove beta, waitlist, or similar program, we may use the contact information you provide to send you communications related to ReelLove.

These may include beta invitations, access information, launch announcements, product updates, important service information, and other communications related to the program you joined.

Where required, you may unsubscribe from promotional email communications by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the email.

Even if you unsubscribe from promotional messages, we may still send non-promotional communications when appropriate, such as responses to requests you send us or important information about a Service you are participating in.

6. Creator and Career Submissions

If you submit information through a Work With Us, Build With Us, creator, career, or similar form, we may use the information to:

  • review your experience, portfolio, creative interests, or qualifications;

  • contact you regarding your submission;

  • coordinate interviews or further discussions; and

  • maintain appropriate records relating to submissions and potential professional relationships.

Submitting a form does not guarantee that ReelLove will contact you or offer you an opportunity.

Please see our Terms of Service for additional provisions concerning ownership of creative materials submitted to ReelLove.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the circumstances described below.

Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that perform services on our behalf, such as providers of:

  • website hosting and development infrastructure;

  • databases and cloud storage;

  • email delivery and communications;

  • website forms;

  • analytics and performance monitoring;

  • security and fraud prevention; and

  • other technical or operational services.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to us.

For example, ReelLove currently uses third-party infrastructure and services to operate portions of its website, receive form submissions, store submitted information, and deliver email communications.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;

  • enforce our agreements or policies;

  • investigate suspected fraud, abuse, security issues, or illegal activity;

  • protect the rights, property, or safety of ReelLove, our users, or others; or

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business Transactions

If ReelLove is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, incorporation into or acquisition by another business, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent to the disclosure.

8. Selling and Sharing Personal Information

ReelLove does not currently sell personal information for money.

We also do not currently use personal information collected through our beta, waitlist, or creator/career forms for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If our practices change in a way that creates additional rights or obligations under applicable privacy law, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required choices or notices.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and the services used to operate it may use cookies or similar technologies.

These technologies may be used to:

  • make the website function properly;

  • remember certain preferences;

  • maintain security;

  • understand website performance;

  • diagnose technical problems; and

  • understand how visitors interact with the website.

The availability of browser controls for cookies varies by browser. Blocking certain cookies may affect how parts of the Services function.

10. Analytics and Third-Party Collection

Service providers that help operate, secure, analyze, or improve our Services may collect technical information about your interactions with the Services as described in this Privacy Policy.

Third-party websites or platforms that you choose to visit through links on ReelLove, such as Discord or social media platforms, operate independently from ReelLove and may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

We encourage you to review the privacy practices of those services before providing information to them.

11. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers provide a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting.

Because there is not a universally accepted standard for interpreting DNT signals, our Services do not currently respond to browser DNT signals in a standardized manner.

We will comply with legally required browser or device-based privacy preference signals where applicable to ReelLove and its data practices.

California's CalOPPA specifically requires privacy policies to disclose how the operator responds to browser Do Not Track signals and whether third parties may collect personally identifiable information through the service, which is why this section is included even at the pre-launch stage.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining appropriate business records, evaluating submissions, communicating with users, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting our legal rights.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.

For example, information submitted as part of a creator or career inquiry may be retained for a reasonable period so we can consider the individual for current or future opportunities.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal, security, backup, and recordkeeping requirements.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

However, no website, database, network, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should therefore use care when transmitting information online and avoid sending sensitive information that we have not requested.

14. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

These may include the right to:

  • request access to certain personal information we maintain about you;

  • request correction of inaccurate information;

  • request deletion of certain information;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • object to or restrict certain uses of information;

  • obtain a portable copy of certain information; or

  • appeal certain decisions regarding a privacy request.

You may also opt out of promotional email communications using the unsubscribe instructions provided in those communications.

To make a privacy request regarding information you have provided to ReelLove, contact us at support@reellove.video.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available to you under applicable law.

California privacy law provides qualifying consumers with rights that can include knowing, correcting and deleting personal information and, when applicable, opting out of sale or sharing.

15. California Privacy Information

If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional privacy rights depending on the law applicable to ReelLove and its processing activities.

California's Online Privacy Protection Act requires operators of commercial websites and online services collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to conspicuously post a privacy policy containing specified disclosures.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended, applies only to businesses meeting specified statutory criteria. As of 2025, one criterion is annual gross revenue exceeding $26.625 million; alternative thresholds relate to processing the personal information of at least 100,000 California residents or households, or deriving at least 50% of annual revenue from selling or sharing California residents' personal information.

To the extent a California privacy law applies to ReelLove, we will honor the rights required by that law.

You may contact support@reellove.video with questions or requests concerning your personal information.

16. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to ReelLove, please contact us at support@reellove.video so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Some ReelLove content or features may have additional age requirements when introduced.

  1. International Users

ReelLove is based in the United States.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy and data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

18. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to websites, communities, social media accounts, or services that ReelLove does not operate.

For example, ReelLove may link to community or social platforms.

This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ReelLove and our Services evolve.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice when required by applicable law, such as by displaying a notice on our website or sending an email.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

ReelLove will evolve, so we may update these Terms from time to time.

When we update them, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

If a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or through another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using the Services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts with appropriate jurisdiction in California, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary.

The remaining provisions will remain in effect.
